- 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced distribution facility
- An associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have taken specialized courses in Business, Inventory Management, Human Relations or other relevant focus
- Previous warehouse or motor freight experience
- Computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced skill in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience using SQL, Access or similar database software; experience using a Warehouse Management System or ERP preferred Quick question for you - click here
- Experience with import freight management; cross-functional understanding of outbound distribution operations
- Experience with warehouse operations equipment
- Proven success training, guiding, supervising and evaluating employee performance

The Role
Your RoleReporting to the Distribution Center Manager, as Warehouse Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing:
- Inbound processing of all receipts in the most efficient manner possible
- Inventory integrity of all stock within the Distribution Center
You will interact with employees throughout the company, including various levels of management, employees across wide areas of the company.
Brand New Distribution CenterYou will work in our brand new 220,000 square foot facility that will be opening shortly. We will begin with approximately 30 warehouse personnel on the day shift and anticipate expanding rapidly. Your Responsibilities
On a daily basis, you will supervise a team of Distribution Associates, ensuring that they understand the goals and objectives of their roles, and are adequately trained to perform their duties.
You will be responsible for tracking and scheduling all inbound receipts, ensuring that product is put to stock and discrepancies are resolved. You will assist in managing inventory, reviewing records for accuracy and information and establishing procedures to determine the adequacy of stock levels. It will be important to be able to work in multiple areas of the distribution center.
Additionally, in the following areas, you will:
Employee Management
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
- Advise employees on care and preservation of items received and stored, methods and use of equipment handling, storing and maintaining stock and related issues
- Provide written and oral instructions as needed
- Maintain a team-oriented environment where Associates work collaboratively; resolve any grievances
- Monitor employee performance
- Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing employees; responsible for training Junior employees
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of the Distribution Associates team

- Maintain the facility by keeping it clean and organized
- Determine work procedures
